51.7. That is the headline manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index for September 2026, as reported by Trading Economics on 2 October. It sets the tone for four takeaways below, followed by the facts of Space Nova.
The scale turns on 50, and a score above it signals expansion. Trading Economics said the index rose from 51.5 in August, extending expansion to a 14th straight month. Red Hot Singapore calls it the strongest reading since October 2018 and credits continued AI-related demand.
In plain English: if 50 is a flat line, the 51.7 that Trading Economics reports is a gentle upward slope, and the 14 months it counts add up to more than a year.
Electronics covers more than a third of manufacturing output, so its score matters. Red Hot Singapore reported 52.9, up from 52.6, the 16th consecutive month of growth and the highest since January 2018. It drove higher orders, factory output and employment.
Put simply, electronics is growing faster than the headline, since the 52.9 reported by Red Hot Singapore sits above the 51.7 overall. That gap is the reason this sector gets singled out in the report.
These two counts come with a caution to read them correctly. Trading Economics reported that finished-goods inventories fell for an 11th straight month because of supply disruptions and higher import costs, not weaker demand, while order backlogs kept growing. Red Hot Singapore added that supplier delivery times lengthened for a ninth straight month and that input costs rose, especially in chemicals and petrochemicals.
A national survey has no line for one building. It offers no price, return or timing for Space Nova, and anything that goes beyond what was reported is outside the data.
Space Nova is a freehold B1 clean industrial development at 21 New Industrial Road, Singapore 536208, in Tai Seng, District 19. Tai Seng and Bartley MRT stations are each about eight minutes away on foot. JVA NIR Pte Ltd is developing 47 strata units across seven storeys on a 36,257 sq ft site, with partial ramp-up access and a Level 4 sky garden.
The Level 4 sky garden is a design feature of the building, and the title is Freehold (Estate in Fee Simple). Both are facts of the project and neither depends on a monthly survey. The preview ran from 24 July to 5 August, with booking day on 7 August.
Expected vacant possession is 30 June 2029, and expected legal completion is 30 June 2032. The freehold advantage page explains the tenure, and the homepage carries the overview. To discuss units, message the Sales Concierge.
